About
I am a Post-Doctoral researcher at the Faculty of Law of the Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Portugal.
I hold a PhD in History from the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales, Paris, France (2007) and a Master's degree in Social Sciences from the Instituto de Ciencias Sociais, Universidade de Lisboa (2000).
Presently I am working on litigation and judicial practices in XVIIIth century Portugal. During my Master and PhD I worked on a large-scale prosopography of Portuguese magistrates, both at metropolitan and colonial level.
Therefore, my main fields of research have been social history, institutional history, colonial history, prosopography and social network analysis.
